Marietta High School is a four year comprehensive high school of about 1000 students. These students have the unique option of attending Washington County Career Center, Washington State Community College or Marietta College while earning their high school diplomas. The class of 2010 has 252 members.
MHS is accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools and by the State of Ohio Department of Education. Competitive interscholastic athletics, an award-winning marching band and show choir, along with a variety of other extracurricular programs afford opportunities for personal growth, citizenship, and leadership.
Marietta High School is excited about its students and the opportunities that we can offer them. The four years that we share with our students is a very special phase of their lives. Our students will have the opportunity to take part in an excellent educational program and become active in many extracurricular activities. Marietta High School will be dedicated to each of our young people and help them build worthwhile traits of personality and character. The staff at Marietta High School wants our students to enjoy their four years here and to graduate with good memories of Marietta High School. From the Wall of Sound to the S.E.O.A.L. all-sports champions, to our outstanding ACT and SAT test scores, Marietta High School is the place to be. We are proud to be Marietta Tigers!

As principal of Marietta High School, I am excited about our students and staff members and all of the wonderful opportunities that they will share. The four years that our students have at M.H.S. are a special phase of their lives. They will have the opportunity to take part in an ever-improving academic program and become active in many extra-curricular activities. M.H.S. will be dedicated and organized so that all our students may achieve a high level of personal growth during their time at the high school. Opportunities are extended to our students for the expansion of knowledge and for building worthwhile traits of personality and character. We hope our students take advantage of the opportunities available.
We are proud to report that our test scores continue to be good. Our ACT and SAT scores are above the State and National averages and MHS’s results on the state proficiency tests are good. We are also proud to announce that our graduation rate has shown much improvement in the last year.

In order for a student to receive credit for a course, all financial obligations associated with the course must be resolved. This includes course fees, lost or damaged books/materials and purchased materials for projects. Additionally, a student must have all academically related financial obligations resolved before he/she can be cleared for graduation.
