From the Principal's Office
MARIETTA HIGH SCHOOL! HOME OF THE TIGERS! WHERE TRADITION DOESN'T GRADUATE! THIS IS GENERAL LEE AND I WANT TO PERSONALLY WELCOME ALL VISITORS TO OUR WEB PAGE. THE HIGH SCHOOL YEARS ARE SOME OF THE MOST REWARDING YEARS OF OUR LIVES! ENDLESS OPPORTUNITIES ABOUND FOR THOSE STUDENTS WILLING TO STEP UP AND CHALLENGE THEMSELVES. DATA INDICATES THAT STUDENTS WHO ARE ACTIVELY ENGAGED IN EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES DO BETTER IN THEIR ACADEMIC PURSUITS. SO, DON'T BE A SPECTATOR WHEN YOU CAN BE A PARTICIPANT!
ADDITIONALLY, I WOULD ENCOURAGE ALL STUDENTS TO BECOME GOOD TIME MANAGERS, EAT SENSIBLY, AND GET ENOUGH SLEEP. TEENAGERS SHOULD GET AT LEAST 8-9 HOURS OF SLEEP PER NIGHT. YOU CANNOT EXPECT TO LEARN ANYTHING IF YOU ARE RUNNING ON EMPTY AND TIRED EVERY DAY!
AND LASTLY, A GOOD EDUCATION IS YOUR TICKET TO THE FUTURE! THE QUALITY OF LIFE THAT YOU LEAD AS AN ADULT WILL BE DIRECTLY DEPENDENT ON THE QUALITY OF EDUCATION YOU OBTAIN! REMEMBER THE OLD COMPUTER TERM GIGO? IT STANDS FOR GARBAGE IN, GARBAGE OUT! IN OTHER WORDS, YOU WILL GET OUT OF SCHOOL EXACTLY WHAT YOU PUT INTO IT! GO TIGERS!
