Dear Families and Friends,
Washington Elementary School has added several new members to our staff. Please come and meet them at our Open House on August 23, starting at 5:45 pm. We want to welcome the following new staff members: Andrea Eichhorn /kindergarten, Allison Roberts / fifth grade, Lisa Walsh / Title 1, Brooke Tucker / Spec. educ., Stephanie Davison / Spec. educ., and Marilyn Wenzel / Teacher aide.

We are looking forward to the students first day of classes on August 24th!

Washington School Supplies, 2011-2012*

  • Kindergarten: school box, 8 pk. Old Paint Shirt
    Elmer’s glue or glue stick, Blunt Fiskar scissors
    3 primary pencils, baby wet wipes
    1 family size box of tissues
  • Grade 1: 10 sharpened #2 pencils, 1 backpack
    1 eraser, 2 bottle Elmer’s glue
    1 24 count box of crayons, baby wet wipes
    1 school box (preferably one with a zipper)
    1 paint shirt-labeled and in ziploc bag (an old shirt of mom’s or dad’s will do)
    1 family size box of tissues
    1 pair scissors (prefer Fiskars for Kids - can be found at Wal-Mart, JoAnnFabrics, or Pharmor)
    1 bottle hand sanitizer
  • Grade 2: 4 sharpened #2 pencils, Crayola brand crayons
    Fiskar brand pointed scissors
    Elmer's brand white school glue
    Small school box (cigar box size)
    12" ruler with inches and centimeters
    Large box of tissues, baby wet wipes
    1 paint shirt-labeled and in ziploc bag (an old shirt of mom’s or dad’s will do)
    1 container pencil cap erasers
    1 box sandwich size ziploc bags or 1 package brown paper lunch bags
    1 black felt tip marker (for art)
  • Grade 3: 10 #2 pencils
    Crayola brand crayons, Elmer's brand white school glue
    Crayola brand primary color markers, 2 boxes of tissues
    colored pencils, paper towels
    highlighters, baby wet wipes
    Fiskar brand pointed scissors, supply box
    ruler with inches and centimeters, 4 pocket folders
    1 large eraser
    1 paint shirt-labeled in ziploc bag (an old shirt of Mom or Dad's will do)
    2 blue or black writing pens (Mrs. Summers Only)
    1 black felt tip marker (for art)
  • Grade 4: scissors, 4 #2 pencils
    glue, 3 pocket folders
    12 " ruler with inches and centimeters
    3 spiral notebooks or 3 packages loose leaf paper (wide or college ruled)
    tissues, water bottle
    crayons/markers/colored pencils
    School box (any size)
    1 black felt tip marker (for art)
  • Grade 5:1 pack of wide ruled notebook paper
    12 #2 pencils
    3 erasable pens, crayons
    Colored markers, 12 "ruler (cm and inches)
    Pointed scissors, white glue stick
    colored pencils
    box of tissues (for my desk so that all can use.)
    Water bottle
    1 container baby wet wipes
    Small school box (cigar box size)
    1 black felt tip marker (for art)
  • Art Supplies: Grades 1-5-Kindergarten will use classroom teachers list
    *12" canvas tote to decorate and carry art supplies listed below to class - sharp pencil with eraser, pair of scissors, crayons, Elmer's white glue, black felt tip pen or a black marker, paint shirt, 3rd-5th grades-markers
