Welcome to the Washington 23-24 Back to School Resource Guide. Below are important documents and information to help families get off to the best possible start for this year.
School Supply Lists:
First and Second Grade Meet the Teacher will be held Tuesday, August 22 noon-1p.m.
Kindergarten Meet the Teacher will be Tuesday, August 29 from noon-1p.m.
Class listings will be posted Friday, August 18 by 4 p.m. at the school.
Kindergarten Information:
Kindergarten families should be receiving a letter with their Kindergarten Readiness Assessment (KRA) test time and details. The KRA will be held August 23-25. Once placed in their class, Kindergarten students will have a staggered start on one of the dates of August 30, 31 or September 1. Your student will attend one of these days based upon the day of your KRA test date.
August 23 test takers will start on August 30
August 24 test takers will start on August 31
August 25 test takers will start on September 1
Day Schedule for Washington Elementary:
8:45 Entrance
9:00 Instruction Begins
11:15 - 11:45 Kindergarten Lunch
11:45 - 12:15 1st Lunch
12:15 - 12:45 2nd Lunch
3:40 Dissmissal
Drop off/Pick up
All students, bus and parent/guardian drop offs will enter in the Washington Street door. This entrance is open for drop off until 9 a.m. after that time, per the district attendance policy , students are considered absent and will enter at the Fourth Street door with parents using the QR code to sign them in. Students who are brought by the bus that arrive after 9 a.m. will still enter the Washington Street door and are not marked absent due to the time.
Student dismissal will be at 3:40 p.m. and will remain the same doors as last year: Kindergarten- Fourth Street First Grade- Breezeway door Second Grade- Washington Street
The Photo Release Agreement needs to be filled out and returned to school with your child the first week. If you do not want your child to be used in photography or videography to promote the district in the media, and the district / building website, you must select that option, sign the form and return it. If a form is not received, THEN IT WILL BE CONSIDERED THE SAME AS GRANTING PERMISSION TO ALLOW YOUR CHILD’S PHOTO TO BE USED ON THE DISTRICT/BUILDING WEBSITE, SOCIAL MEDIA OR LOCAL MEDIA FOR THE 2023-24 SCHOOL YEAR.
